Properties of EPA
Adding EPA into plastic raw materials will not change the molecular structure of finished goods, but only alter the decomposition texture. This high-tech invention is particularly suitable for making one-off disposable plastic bags and related products.

The major properties of EPA include:
- Safety for food contact and for microwave
- Water-insolvability: suitable for containing watery or oily liquid
- Easy for incineration: no toxic emission is released when combustion, and no hazardous ashes or residuals are left.
- Plastics with EPA have more benefits than conventional plastics. When applied in making commodities like raincoats, diapers or fruit packaging, EPA plastics not only have better air-penetrability, enhanced coziness and attractiveness, but also have cost advantages over rival products.
- Good anti-static effects: suitable for making packaging for electronics.
- No unwanted byproduct is produced during processing, no concerns of secondary pollutions.
- The decomposition process starts 45 days after dumping, and the decomposition duration can be prolonged or shortened according to customer’s specific requirements.
- The major ingredient, starch, is abundant in nature, and EPA will not cause exhaustion of this resource.
- Bio-degradation process is also affected by lighting. However, the degradation process performed by microbes is more fundamentally than photo-decomposition.
- Film products could be as thin as 0.015mm (based on gram weight).
