BioOptics is the leading company in Korea for fluorescent diagnostics and photodynamic cancer therapy (PDT) with pulse oximeter. BioOptics develops, manufactures and realizes certified devices required for successful treatment of oncological diseases by PDT. BioOptics was founded in 2000 in the basis of Biomedical Engineering Lab (BME), Chung Nam National University Hospital in Korea. Its main research activity is development and employment methods of tissue spectral analysis for clinical and biomedical application. A miniature, high-performance reflectance oximeter was developed in 1997 and was developed the portable laser for photodynamic therapy on 2000 & 2004. Now we offer a Ministry of Health approved PDT Laser System Laxcell 2000/2004 - BioOptics for fluorescent diagnostics of Bladder cancer, photodynamic therapy monitoring and for many other applications as oxygenation degree monitoring; absorption, transmission and fluorescent measurements of biological tissues in vivo. With the beginning of the wide application of photodynamic therapy in Korea, our company started developing equipment for therapeutic procedures. Now we offer advanced and reliable equipment based on lasers diodes and light-emitting diodes, including Korea Ministry of Health approved High-power Laser System for Photodynamic Therapy Laxcell 2000/2004 and Diagnostics with Fluorescent Imager Laxcell 3000.Parameters of our equipment are optimal for use in photodynamic therapy for cancer with photofrin, 5-ALA and HPD (hematoporphyrin derivatives) as photosensitizers. Fiber optic tools are applied in most devices, that allow to be used in any endoscopic procedures.
