RN-Komsomolsky Refinery LLC is located in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Khabarovsk Territory, and has been part of the vertically integrated structure of Rosneft since its establishment.The construction of the plant began in 1938, and it was put into operation in 1942.As of January 1, 2018, the capacity of the refinery amounted to 4.3 million tons of oil per day. The plant processes West Siberian oil that is supplied through the pipeline system of Transneft to the junctions Uyar (near Krasnoyarsk) and Zuy (near Angarsk) and then by rail. In addition, the refinery processes oil produced by the Company in Sakhalin and supplied to the company through the Okha-Komsomolsk-on-Amur oil pipeline. The plant specializes in the production of motor fuel and aviation kerosene.The Komsomolsky Refinery is one of the main suppliers of oil products to the Far East market. Products are delivered through a subsidiary of PJSC NK Rosneft, RN-Vostoknefteprodukt, which owns a network of gas stations in the region.In 2012, the reconstruction of the catalytic reforming plant was completed, including commissioning of the reforming feed prefractionation unit with a capacity of 1 million tons per day. The implementation of this project made it possible to switch to the production of motor gasoline corresponding to the ecological Classes 4 and 5.
