The bendix weiss cv joint is composed of a driving fork, a driven fork, four power transmitting steel balls and a centering steel ball. The driving fork and the driven fork are respectively integrated with the inner and outer half shafts. There are four curved grooves in each of the forks. After assembly, two intersecting ring grooves are formed, which are used as steel ball raceways. The ball is installed in the groove, and the centering steel ball is installed in the center groove of the two forks to achieve centering. To smoothly fit the force-transmitting steel ball into the groove, a concave surface is milled on the centering steel ball, with a deep hole in the center of the concave surface.
Therefore, bendix weiss cv joint is usually used on the steering drive axle of small and medium off-road vehicles.
