This lamp has a moderate to high UVB output as seen in shady environments like rainforest. Reptiles living in these habitats receive less UV radiation because of the many elements that prevent direct sunlight from striking animals and their basking sites. The humidity in these locations is fairly high which filters out some of the UV rays. Weather conditions vary during the day, so there is less sunshine. The Desert 10% UVB compact fluorescent lamp produces the ideal amount of UVB and UVA rays in a bright white light that simulated the middy desert sun.
