APPLICATION:
.Corrosion inhibitor for non-aqueous systems such as lubricants, hydraulic fluids, and defoamers.
.Detergent additive for heavy-duty metal cleaning applications.
.Paper size with greater stability and lower residues than other materials.
.Chemical Reactions: OSA may be hydrolyzed to the dibasic acid with hot water. The acid may be reacted with amines or alkali metal aqueous bases. OSA readily forms esters with alcohols. OSA reacts with the hydroxyl groups of starch and paper.
