Media used in biological treatment systems must have excellent microorganism attachment capabilities to prevent complete detachment of microorganisms from the media surface during backwash. The Aquacell Media, which is made from environmentally-friendly materials such as polyethylene, zeolite and hydrophilic agents, has a larger surface area and higher microorganism attachment capabilities compared to other products. this is due to its 3-dimensional structure and its complexed material with organic and inorganic composition.
