Arrow-Sep™ is designed to maximize the effectiveness of the separation of lymphocytes and monocytes (PBMCs) from whole blood and bone marrow. As a unique feature Arrow-Sep™ contains a porous barrier made of high quality polyethylene. This porous barrier isfirmly positioned in the actual polypropylene tube. It allows for the rapid pouring of the blood sample into the tube without the risk ofunwanted mixing of the sample and the separation medium contained below the disc. Furthermore, the separation disc minimizes therisk of re-contamination with red blood cells during recovery of the interphase – the interphase may simply be poured out. Arrow-Sep™ may be used in combination with all common separation media for PBMC separation. For maximum convenience Arrow-Sep™ tubes are available as pre-filled tubes. The contained Arrow-Sep™ separation medium has a density of 1.077 g/ml and yields excellent separation results.
