Automatic Computerized Polariscope (Ref : NMV-145)
This full-auto Polariscoper is a stress measurement device that automatically detects the optical path difference and the slow axis direction of transparent object s which displays birefringence phenomenon under polarized light.
When light travels through the polarizer, it becomes circular polarized light. When a stressed sample is placed, there is an optical path difference between the slow axis and fast axis . A nd the outgoing light becomes elliptical polarized light. By rotating the analyzer , the rotating angle of the polarized light which is affected by the presence of internal stress can be detected precisely . By applying the rotating angle to a formula, stress value in the sample will be calculated . During one measurement, this full-auto Polarimeter can take images at a specialized angle, and simultaneously obtain the stress size and slow axis direction of all sample areas in the viewing field and output the three-dimensional stress distribution.
The camera connected with a computer, detecting data and images can be stored easily . The light source adopts high-brightness LED light, which has a long service life and low electricity consumption . In this way , time and operating cost of replacing the light source will be decreased .
