MKBMS is based on the modular BMS of LTC68XX and STM32 MCU, and is connected to one or more slave boards and integrated integrated boards of different sizes through the ISOSPI interface. The modular BMS can be configured for various applications with battery voltages within 150V.

MKBMS is developed based on the open source materials of DieBieMS and ENNOID BMS. Currently MKBMS is compatible with ENNOID firmware. Here, a special thanks to the developers of open source BMS materials.

MKBMS Master Board ( MKBMS-LV Master Mini ) Features:

  • With charger voltage measurement, humidity sensor, isolated on-board 5V power supply for isolating CAN bus interface and USB Type-C
  • 30V to 150V operation
  • Voltages measurements for load & battery pack
  • Bi-directional current monitoring (up to 2500A pulsed, 500A continuous)
  • Isolated charger detection circuit
  • Isolated CAN bus interface
  • Daisychain Master/Slave ISOSPI communication
  • Single PCB pattern for bolt-on contactor
  • It can internal power supply or external power supply voltage is 12V
  • Integrated predischarge circuit
  • USB & serial interface for configuring and firmware upgrades with the ENNOID-BMS-Tool
  • OLED display output
  • ON/OFF toggle switch input
  • SWD burn debugging or update firmware interface

MKBMS Slave Board (LTC6811-12W-AL) Features:

  • MKBMS slave board is made of aluminum base plate, which has better heat dissipation effect.
  • Scalable & isolated 1000VDC+
  • Compatible with MKBMS Master boards
  • From 5 to 18 cell levels monitoring per board
  • Daisychain Master/Slave ISOSPI communication
  • Parameters fully programmable through an easy to use graphical user interface
  • 33 ohm balance resistors (0.125A capacity) on all channels
  • Self powered by monitored cells
  • 1.2mV accuracy, -40 to 120C operation
  • Extra low power consumption (Sleep mode = 6uA)
  • Molex SL horizontal connectors for balance & temperature. (Comes with male, female + crimps)

      Variant:
      LTC6811 : Up to 12 cells voltage monitoring & 1+4 temperature sensors* per slave
      LTC6812 : Up to 15 cells voltage monitoring & 1+8 temperature sensors* per slave

      LTC6813 : Up to 18 cells voltage monitoring & 1+8 temperature sensors* per slave
     

*The first temperature channel is used by slave board itself.

The following 4 or 8 temperature sensors are not in the package lists

but means an interface to connect 4 temp sensors at most

or to connect 8 temp sensors at most.

3 x LTC6811-12S: 10S + 10S + 9S (Three slaves partially loaded)

2 x LTC6812-15S: 15S + 14S ( Optimal)

*For uneven cell count in series, only the last slave board in the daisy-chained loop should have one cell less connected than the other slaves. Ex: 39S = 10S + 10S + 10S + 9S
