Brake coil as inductor charges energy to a current mode and holds strong magnetic suction power when fully charged. However inductor is natured to resist current so that it brings about movement delay time till fully charged but is designed with a way to charge rapidly twice till reching to setting blued current with full wave rectification system and current regulation system in parallel. It displays twise response speed of traditional half wave rectification system. Improved Braking speed

If current in the magne coil varies suddenly, the corresponding magnet flux becomes induced electromotive force and high voltage will be induced. AS Current in th magnet coil attemts to keep current contiuously, it is difficult to disconnct this current. If disconnects the current compulsorily, high voltage and strong arc are generated with strong energy, therefore, it should be discharged through discharge resistor. Generated voltage, brakin speed and discharge resistance are proportioned to each other, therefore, high speed brakin needs the high tenstion devices and resistance. As this products had used 2.8 times high tension devices and enlarged discharge resistor than traditional products, the brakin speed has been improved appoximately over twice.

Main fuctions of SH-BSS-100

Strong magnetized current regulation function

The strong magnetized applied to this controller supplies the maximum voltage(about twice the fixed value) until the electric current reaches the fixed value to speed up the increase fo the initial current (=magnetic flux) and when the current reches the fixed value, recover the voltageto the fixed value, This is the key to the 100% of success fo brake opening without being affeced by the fluctuations fo input voltages fo power supply. Weak magnetized voltage regulation function

The electromagnet of magnet brake needs strong magnetized force because the space between magnetic poles are large at starting time. But, after it starts, the magnetic poles get near and easily keep contacted with small amount of magnetized force. Because of this characteristic, it changes from strong magnetized to weak magnetized after the start. Being changed to weak magnetized, the power consumption electromanetic force at the weak magnetized state, the power consumption and the Joule heat can be minimumed. But because the brake is kept opened by the minimum electromagnetic force at the weak magnetized state, the voltage regulation function is needed to keep the magnetized voltage constant even under the fluctuation of power supply voltage. This controller uses a highly efficient voltage regulation function at the weak manetized stage and completely prevent the failure of brake opening. Over current and short circuit protection function

Whether load is 'nomal' or 'abnomal' can be decided by measuring the relationship between applied voltage and load current. If a electric current is sensed with zero or very low output voltage, the load might be shorted. If a voltage is a normal but the current over flows above a fixed value, some layer of the load coil might by shorted or there are electric leakages somewhere on the circuit. Within this controller, a current transformer for current sensing and a photo couple for output voltage measuring are equipped and always measure the load current and output voltage and make decision whether the load is normal or not, If something goes wrong in it, this controller cuts down the output power to prevent fire of other accidents.
