Butterfly pea or Asian pigeonwings is a plant native to Asiaand scientifically named as Clitoria ternatea. The mostinteresting feature is the colour of its flower, a brilliantblue, although some yield white flowers too. In southeast Asiathe flower is used as a food colouring and as an Ayurvedicmedicine.
