Carbon material «UVI-PHO» is hydroxycellulose carbon fibers, diameter 8-10 μm, coated in fluoropolymer using plasma-chemical method.
A thin layer of fluorpolymer on carbon fibers improves technological compatibility and interoperability with PTFE-based composites and elastomeric materials, enhances durability, tensile strength wear and heat resistance and helps to reduce the level of accumulation of relative compression set at elevated temperatures.
Depending on the final temperature of treatment of the raw carbon materials (12000C; 15000C; 22000C), three main grades are produced: «UVI-PHO-12/-15/-22»
Main application:
- carbon filler of fluoroplastic antifriction materials
- filler of elastomeric compositions based onf FPM and EPDM rubbers
Advantages:
- improves the elastic-strenght character of rubbers, which contribute quality improvement of mobile seals and reduce operating costs
- improves of physical and mechanical properties of carbon-filled PTFE composites
- increase of the adhesive bond "matrix-filler" of polymer somposite materials
