The product is an acrylic polymer with polyalkenyl ether crosslinks. It has strong hygroscopicity and certain acidity (because it contains carboxyl groups), and can be neutralized by alkaline substances to form a highly transparent gel. After the carbomer resin is neutralized to ionize the carboxyl group, due to the mutual repulsion of the negative charges, the molecular chain is diffused and stretched, showing a great expansion state and being viscous. Therefore, at a very low dosage, Carbo resin can produce high-efficiency thickening without being affected by temperature, and can make some insoluble additives (particles, oil droplets, etc.) permanently suspended.
