Description of Janteng Chromic catgut suture
Janteng catgut suture thread is originally used animal originated suture twisted filament, absorbable brown color. Obtained from the thin intestine serous layer of a healthy bovine free of BSE and aphtose fever. Because it is an animal originated material the tissue reactivity is relatively moderated. Absorbed by fagositosis in approximately 70 days. The thread keeps its tensile strength between 14 and 21 days, the patients factors can make such tensile strength times vary. Color code: ochre label. Frequently used in tissues that have easy healing and that do not require permanent artificial support.
Characteristic of Janteng Chromic catgut suture
High purity collagen between 97 and 98% Chroming process before twisting it. Uniform calibration and polishing (monofilament appearance). Sterilized by Gamma rays of Cobalt 60.
Benefits of Janteng Chromic catgut suture
Minimum tissue reaction Uniform chroming along the thread length, providing a reliable tissue support during the absorption. Provides soft way through the tissues (minimizing tissue drag). Complete and reliable sterilization. Preserving the natural characteristics of collagen.
