Character
|
Yellow-green transparent liquid. Freezing point: -100.98°C. Boiling point: -34.6°C. Gasified at atmospheric pressure. Asphyxiating chlorine smell. Strong irritation and corrosion. Not spontaneous but supporting combustion; combustion and explosion occur when it is mixed with other flammable gases in the sunlight. Tending to react with most of the elements or compounds. Highly toxic. A strong oxidant.
