Clay desiccant bags made from montmorillonite clay which has a special affinity for moisture. Clay is a good basic desiccant that works satisfactorily below 120°F (approximately 50°C). It contains a highly activated, chemically inert and noncorrosive desiccant which absorbs moisture vapor through the capillary action of adsorbent particles without changing the physical shape of the particles or the bag. Its stable dehydrating ability is close to traditional silicon gel desiccant in all kinds of humidity.
Compared to other two kinds of desiccants, clay desiccant is the least expensive one.
