Features of Stainless
Stainless(STS) steel is made from a mixture of iron (Fe) and a large amount of chrome. It is made difficult to rust.As occasion demands, a small amount of calcium (C), nickel (Ni), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), or molybdenum (Mo) is added, which is called alloy steel.
The main ingredient of stainless steel is iron (Fe), but it has also excellent features that general steels don't have.
The surface is beautiful and the wrapping quality is excellent.
Corrosion resistance is remarkable so the environment for use is not restricted and it is hygiene.
Processing quality is excellent so it is easy to transform. It has high strength, which protects it from external shock.
Fireproof and thermal resistance is big (high temperature strength).
By the virtue of these features, stainless(SUS) steel doesn't need painting or coating. Its high corrosion resistance makes it possible to develop various surface roughness so stainless steel is widely applied to not only kitchenware for our daily life, but also electronics, chemistry, heavy industries and all the other industries.
i°Stainless± is a compound word of i°staini± and i°lessi±.It is important to understand i°stainlessi± as that it is difficult to rust, not that it never rusts.
Stainless steel itself doesn't prevent corrosion, but chemical ingredients contained in it makes a protective film (anodizing) on the surface, which prevents oxidation (rusting) that general steel gets to have.
The protective film of this stainless steel can be destroyed under the oxidizing environment, and the environment can cause a different degree of corrosion so a correct type of stainless should be selected and it should be used rightfully.
