How to do a self-home test? Is it easy to operate?
Yes, it is! NEWGENE Covid-19 Antigen Detection Kit is simple to operate and the result is available within 15 mins. You just need to follow a few steps.
1. Wash your hands thoroughly. Take out the swab tip from the package and gently insert it 2-3cm into one nasal cavity.
2. Gently rotate the swab 5 rounds for 20 seconds. Do not force the swab incase of injuries the nose.
3. Repeat step 1 and 2 in other nasal cavity.
4. Peel off the aluminum foil seal from a sample extraction tube.
5. Place the swab into the sample extraction tube. Stir the swab in the solution for at least 5 times.
6. Squeeze the tube with fingers, and move the swab up and down for at least 3 times to expel any sample solution. Take out the swab.
7. Insert the tube cap firmly on the sample extraction tube.
8. Gently squeeze the tube for 3 times to mix the sample solution. Put the tube till 1 min.
9. Take out the test card. Hold the tube upside down. Squeeze it to add 3 drops od sample solution into the loading well on the test card.
10. Read the result after 15 mins. The result is considered inaccurate and invalid after 30 mins.
When should I get a self test for Covid-19?
For your own safety, if you have symptoms you should have a self test for Covid-19 immediately. If you’re exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, experts recommend getting tested at least 5 days after your close contact with him/her, even if you don’t have symptoms. What if I tested positive for Covid-19?
