Elliptic hole is designed to make the urine flow out of the container while taking urine specimen for further test. The round hole allows air to enter the container so that urine can flow out smoothly. After the specimen is taken out, the "arrow" adhensive label can be used to cover the holes again, preventing cross-contamination in lab.
