We produce our fertilizersfrom fresh wild fish scraps carefully processed at lowtemperatures to maintain the integrity of the naturallyoccurring amino acids, proteins and oils in the fish. This low temperature process produces a product called a“hydrolysate.”
In contrast, the majority offish fertilizers on the market today are known as“emulsions.” First the fish is cooked and the oil removedfor paints and cosmetics. Then the protein is removedand dried to make fish meal for livestock feeds. Theremaining wastewater is condensed into a brown thick liquidcalled a fish emulsion.
In addition, Drammatic®fertilizers are produced using a unique extended enzymaticdigestion period allowing more bones and other solids todissolve into the final product. This provides growers witha higher percentage of important nutrients likecalcium. All Drammatic® fertilizers are filteredthrough 200 mesh screen twice before leaving thefactory.
