A drill rod is a tool used to connect drill bits and rock drilling in tunnel engineering. The drill rods commonly used in mining and roadway engineering are hexagonal hollow steel and hollow round steel. The inner diameter of the hexagonal hollow steel is 22mm and 25mm, and the outer diameter of the hollow round steel is 32mm and 38mm. The steel drill rod includes finished steel drill rod and forged steel drill rod. The finished drill rod is forged to a certain length and directly installed with a drill head for drilling. Forged steel drill rod is used to cut the hollow hexagonal steel according to needs, and then forged with a forging machine to make the drill tail and head, and then installed with a drill head for drilling.
