Hydrofluoric acid, commonly known as HF, is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula HF and a molecular weight of 20.01 g/mol. It appears as a colorless liquid with a pungent and irritating odor. Hydrofluoric acid is highly corrosive and reactive. It is miscible with water and can dissolve a variety of materials, including glass and many metals.
Product Storage
1) Sealed packaging and stored in a cool, dry, and well ventilated dedicated warehouse. The temperature of the warehouse should not exceed 30 ºC.
2) To prevent sudden explosions, the storage time should not be too long, and attention should be paid to adding stabilizers.
3) A cofferdam is set up in the hydrofluoric acid storage area, and the ground is subjected to anti permeability treatment, and inverted tanks or liquid storage tanks are equipped. The storage area should be equipped with suitable materials to contain leaks.
4) It should be stored separately from combustibles and edible chemicals, and mixed storage should be avoided.
5) Regularly inspect the storage tanks, tank trucks, valves, and pumps of hydrofluoric acid to prevent leakage.
