Cat Chu mango is regarded as a unique variation that can compete with Cat Hoa Loc Mango in most present mango types. This mango type is widely farmed in Cao Lanh, Dong Thap, and has become a local delicacy. Cat Chu mango is well-known and popular because it has the same delectable taste as Cat Hoa Loc mango. As a result, mangoes have been widely disseminated in provinces such as Dong Thap, Tien Giang, Can Tho, Vinh Long, and several provinces in the Southeast.
Cat Chu mango is famous for its intensely sweet and robust taste. The characteristics of this type of mango are smooth and juicy flesh with no fibre. Cat Chu Mango season runs from September to June.
Because of the proper growing process and quality assurance, Cat Chu mango is the first mango variety that meets export standards. Not only meeting domestic demand, up to 80% of Cat Chu mangoes in Cao Lanh have entered difficult markets such as Korea, Japan and many other countries worldwide. Cat Chu mango is now considered the “National Treasure of Vietnam” when Vietnamese agricultural products are increasingly asserting their position in the international arena.
