Light yellow liquid, treasure in the air will turn brown or dark red. Combustible, bitter almond flavor, miscible with water, insoluble in petroleum hydrocarbons. It is easy to polymerize with acid and react violently to form resin which is not easy to melt. This product is one of the raw materials for organic synthesis. It can be used to produce acetylpropene, furan resin, furfuryl alcohol urea formaldehyde resin and phenolic resin with various properties. The cold resistance of plasticizer made from this product is better than that of butanol octanol ester. It is a good solvent for furan resin, varnish, pigment and rocket fuel. It is also used in fiber, rubber, pesticide and foundry industry.
