*Power Density: the round flat shape ceramic heating elements, power density - 15W/cm2 . Within this range, a flat shape heating element can be designed various power level, but the size stays the same.

The alumina ceramic heating elements, when the temperature raises, the resistance will increase accordingly. With this special property, engineers can controll the temperature by reading the resistance, because each resistance refers to a unique temperature.

Ceramic Heating Element Basic Characteristics

General Description & Features

The circle flat shape heating elements are one of the regular products of 4U. The type use the B paste, which has the characteristics of fast heating and easy to control temperature. The circle, small and flat shape heating elements are used especially where heat has to be generated fast, and requires no harmful materials contained, e.g. for medical equipments, electric moxa, coffee makers, etc.

Y0506: Y – refers to circle shape , 05 – dia5mm , 06 –thick 0.6mm ;

H070306: H – refers to ring shape, 07 – od 7mm, 03 – id 3mm;

Dimension can be customized.

Customized Designs

Our strong engineering makes any modification in size, configuration, or performance simple and convenient. Glazing for easy cleaning can be included. Bores for temperature sensors can be added as well. Special leads like placing them into ceramic body is also possible. What’s more, customized design allows integration of several heating zones in one micro heating elements, which can meet specific requirements.

Electrical Properties

There are mainly 3 heating paste 4U uses, they are type A, B, and C. The type A, although its heating speed is the slowest among the three, it enjoys the characteristics of easy to control temperature, it’s usually applied as the temperature thermostat function. Type B, heating speed rates second, but it can be temperature controlled easier than type C. Last, the type C, fastest heating speed, but harder to control temperature than B.
