Ionoplast interlayer
The ionoplast interlayer is a copolymer of ethylene and methacrylic acid, some of which are saponified. Sodium ions in the molecular structure will form ion clusters and play the role of physical cross-linking point, so the ionoplast interlayer has high mechanical properties. The tensile strength of ionomer is 50% higher than that of PVB film, and its elastic modulus is 100 times higher than that of PVB film. Acrylic acid in ionic polymer can form ionic bonds with metal ions in glass, and the bonding strength with glass is higher than that with PVB interlayer.
Compared with PVB film, ionomer film laminated glass has the following characteristics:
1. Higher strength. Compared with ionomer laminated glass, PVB laminated glass has higher bending strength. In the case of the same glass structure and thickness, it has higher load and wind pressure resistance.
2. Low deflection, large equivalent glass thickness and high strength can be achieved in architectural design with the same deflection requirements, while the same shielding ionomer film laminated glass can be achieved in smaller glass thickness. It is beneficial to reduce the weight of the glass and the weight of the whole support system.
3. Higher safety after crushing. Ionomer film has high tensile strength and tear strength, and its laminated glass has strong support after fracture.
4. Better optical performance. The ionomer film has higher transmittance, lower haze and lower yellow index. After mixing with ultra white glass, it has high permeability and visual effect.
