~Tested and approved by TÜV~

The Urban Iki front seats, rear seats and windshields have been tested and approved by the independent German TÜV institute. Our products are developed in accordance with the highest European quality standard EN14344. We also test our bicycle seats in our facility to meet the high Japanese safety standards as well.

~5-point safety buckle~

The Urban Iki front and rear seats have a 5-point safety system. This means that the belt straps go over both the legs and the shoulders of your child. This way your child is firmly secured during your bike ride without a way to escape!

~Close the buckle with just one hand~

The buckle is designed in such a way that it must be opened with two hands. Extra safety! Because that way your child cannot do this themselves. To close the belt again, you only need one hand. The two parts of the belt buckle can be clicked separately from each other. So, this way you keep the other hand free to hold the bike. This also contributes to a safer bicycle ride.

~Good protection for legs and feet~

You won’t run any risk with the protective leg parts of the Urban Iki rear seat. The legs and feet are safely protected from the wheel of your bicycle, and you can easily adjust the foot straps with one hand.

~Plenty of space to get on~

You can tilt the buckle forward if you want to put your little one in the bicycle seat. This means there is more space; the seat belt is not in the way so, getting your child in the seat is just a bit easier. As soon as your child is in the seat, the buckle can be pulled back so the buckle can be closed.

At Urban Iki, we literally brought in the Dutch who designed the first Urban Iki bicycle seats.

TÜV tested and approved

When we buy products, we trust them to be safe and of good quality. That is the way it should be. Of course, we feel responsible for the safety and quality of Urban Iki bicycle seats. In Europe, there is a norm, EN14344, which describes the most important things to guarantee safety. We use this norm in developing the seats. TUV is an independent institute taking care of testing and reviewing products to check that they meet the norm standard. All Urban Iki seats are tested and approved by TÜV.

We don’t want you to struggle with our bicycle seats, we want you to enjoy them! So, we think it should be easy to mount an Urban Iki bicycle seat on your bike. With an Urban Iki, you can easily install the seat yourself in just 5-minutes. And if you go out without your little one, you can take the seat off in seconds.
