There are two types of lychee in Vietnam that are well-known and popular not only in the country but also in the international community.
The first is Luc Ngan litchi, which comes from the Bac Giang province of Luc Ngan. When ripe, the fruit is bright red, the seeds are small, and the pulp is thick, sweet, and nutrient-dense. The lychees in this region are larger and have a distinct flavor. Thanh Ha lychee is the second type of lychee. The lychee grown in Thanh Ha has an exceptionally delicious quality, with small round spherical fruits, bright pink skin, clear white flesh, small seeds, and sweetness due to the suitability of natural conditions. These two types of litchi are not only popular in the country, but also in many other countries around the world, including China, Thailand, the United States, Australia, and Japan.
The export market of lychee fruit is expanded to many countries around the world. Besides traditional export markets such as China and some ASEAN countries, Vietnamese lychees are also exported to many other difficult markets such as the US, Australia, the Netherlands, the UK, France, Canada, and the UAE. .. Notably, in 2020, Vietnam’s fresh litchi continues to successfully open its doors to two large and potential markets, Singapore and Japan. This is a positive signal, affirming the effective brand of Vietnamese fabric in the international market.
After being harvested and sorted, lychees are put into a multi-purpose treatment system with saturated steam, hot water spray and low PH solution. The lychee is then dried suddenly by cold storage air. Through the above process, lychee fruit is cleaned, disinfected, treated with mold and insects to meet export standards to fastidious markets. Through the process of packaging the product with a sealed film, the lychee fruit retains its quality and beautiful appearance for more than 30 days.
