Characteristics and Purposes
Ø NEW-0401 with ultrafine particle size, high melting point, outstanding grindability and smoothness, good recoatability, breathability, and anti-blocking.
Ø NEW-0401 can improve the grindability when used in NC Nitroncellulose and acid cured resin those paint systems. To ensure the fully wetting of the wax, the mixing time should more than 15 minutes under high-shear dispersion device.
Ø When used in powder coating, we suggest to use the post addition method, by which can increase its charging state; In some porous surfaces like iron casting, it acts as degassing agent; When works together with the HAA and benzoin curing system, it can reduce the yellowish of the benzoin. The additional amount is less than 1.5 %.
Content and Methods of Use
Ø In a variety of systems, the additional amount of the micronized wax is generally between 0.5 to 3%.
Ø Usually by a direct high-speed stirring, it can disperse in solvent-based coatings and printing inks directly.
Ø It can be added by using varieties of grinding machines, and high-shear dispersing devices. Should pay attention to the temperature control.
Ø Can make wax slurry with the wax at 20-30%; add it into the systems when needed, by which can save the dispersion time.
