The universal high-strength multifilament yarn is made of polypropylene in the form of continuous finest fibers connected together by pneumatic adhesions. A single thread may include up to 200 individual dyed or unpainted fibers, the so-called filaments, as a result of which the finished product receives various technological characteristics.
Benefits:
- High strength
- Low specific weight
- Stability to sudden temperature changes
- UV stabilized, resistant to light
- Neutral to acids, alkalis and other aggressive chemicals.
The use of multifilament pp thread:
- used for manufacture polypropylene bags;
- manufacture of polypropylene backpack tapes, ropes, sling, belts, cords, twine, woven tapes, braided nets;
- fabric manufacturing;
- for making big bags;
- for making shoes, bags, suitcases
Note: multifilament polypropylene yarns are packed in cartons of 4 reels. One reel contains 5 kg of thread.
Measurements and calculations of the thread carried out in the laboratory showed that a one reel contains 5 kg threads:
D = 800 den F=3,78 kgf – 62 000 m
D = 900 den F=3,96 kgf – 55 000 m
D = 1000 den F=4,06 kgf – 50 000 m
D = 2000 den F=7,44 kgf – 25 000
D = 3000 den F=11,26 kgf – 16 500 m
D = 4000 den F=15,23 kgf – 12 500 m
D = 4500 den F=17,33 kgf – 11 000 m
