Mycoprotein is a by-product of different amino acid production like MSG, neucleotide, threonine, tryptophan, etc. it is through fermentation process based on the solution after amino acid extraction which is full of nutritional matters like glucose as the carbon source, also nitrogen or ammonia is added as the nitrogen source. Finally the bacteria as single cell protein is gathered/harvested, dried and packed which is called mycoprotein.
Mycoprotein is grey white to dark brown color powder with fermentation smell which is attractive to animals. It is a good protein source for feed use with good amino acid profile. It can reduce feed cost and enhance good nutritional value of the feeds.
