The reaction bonded silicon carbide(RBSIC) produced by BRCC has excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance, thermal shock resistance, thermal conductivity, high-temperature strength, and oxidation resistance. Its porosity is close to zero, Mohs hardness is more than 9, it is 2-3 times of steel's wear resistance, and its density is less than half of steel.
