Nucleating agent TMC-300
TMC-300 is a new sort of nucleating agents for polylactic acid (PLA), which belongs to
auxiliary aids for bio-based plastics. And it is non-toxic, tasteless and mainly used for polylactic
acid (PLA), polyamide (PA) resins to play a good role in promoting nucleation, and thus to
significantly improve crystallization rate and crystallinity of crystalline polyester to improve
resistance to heat deformation, transparency, impact resistance of products while it can
shorten product cycle time and improve production efficiency, especially for poly-lactic acid
products.

Applications & Features
Studies have shown that TMC-300 can accelerate the crystallization of PLA due to its
good compatibility with PLA as a nucleating agent for PLA, and the molding cycle time of PLA
can be shorten, and its physical and mechanical properties can be obviously improved, and its
thermal deformation temperature, elastic modulus and impact strength can be significantly
increased by adding TMC-300. The recommended dosage is 0.3-1 wt %. The applications of
PLA can be developed to the fields of cars and electrical home appliances requirements for
high heat resistance and high rigidity by adopting TMC-300. Moreover, TMC-300 can also be
used to improve the nucleation effect of polyamide. And it can also be used make a strong
function of suppression for heavy metal and inhibition of (copper) metal ions when used in
polyolefins, and it is a highly-efficient anti-copper agent for use in polyolefins.
