Canola oil is the most plant-based omega-3 fat of any common cooking oil and is rich in good fats, has no trans-fat and contains 7% saturated fat which is the least of the common culinary oils. Contains high levels of oleic acid (omega 9 fat) which is a good source of omega 6 fat, it helps reduce the risk of heart disease when used instead of saturated fats by reducing LDL cholesterol in the blood.
