At present, there are many wire rope structures used in rotary drilling rigs in the market. Ordinary round-strand rotation resistance wire ropes mainly include 18×7, 24W×7, and 35W×7; compacted strand rotation resistance wire ropes mainly include 18×K7. , 35W×K7, 15×K7 etc.

In recent years, 35W×K7 type and 15×K7 type steel wire ropes have been applied to rotary drilling rig in relatively large quantities, especially these two types of RHLL & LHLL wire ropes are widely used in the market, accounting for more than 50% .
