ESCRIPTION
Self adhesive bitumen flashing tape is a self-adhesive, aluminum or high density
polyethylene surfaced bitumen & SBS rubber backed sealing strip. It is a quick, efficient
and cost effective method of flashing, sealing and repair that produces a lasting protection
in all climates.

STORAGE
Store under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extreme temperature. In tropical
climates the product must be stored in an air-condition environment. Shelf life is up to 12
months when stored as per recommended storage condition.
HEALTH & SAFETY
As with all bitumen products caution should always be exercised. Protective clothing such
as gloves and goggles should be worn. Treat any splashes to the skin or eyes with fresh
water immediately. Should any of the product be accidentally swallowed, do not induce
vomiting, but call for medical assistance immediately.
APPLICATION
1 Make sure the surface smooth, clean, no dust or other loose material
2 Cut the flash band t to required length
3 Remove the release paper. Press flash band into place, using fingertip pressure. Avoid
excessive pressure
4 When laying adjacent rolls the flash band must overlap by at least 25mm
5 Use a seam roller or rounded piece of wood to smooth the flash band and ensure good
contact is made
Overpainting:
Flash band can be overpainted with conventional decorative paints, though a little staining
may occur at the edges.
Note:
In cold weather, application will be made easier by warming the surface and by storing
flashing band in a warm place prior to use. Do not apply if surface temperature is below 5℃
