Silway 714 water repellent is a water-dilutable solution of potassium methyl siliconate, designed to impact water repellency to a wide variety of surfaces. Supplied at a concentration of 42% in water. Usually diluted to a concentration of 3% or less before application.

Silway 714 water repellent could react with carbon dioxide in the air to form an insoluble water-resistant treatment within 24 hours, it could be used on bricks, sandstone, limestone and ceramics to impart water repellent surface and reduce water absorption.

By reduce water absorption of substrate it helps increase the life of substrate, through reduce spall that caused by freeze-thaw or efflorescence.
