Medium Hardwood: Medium-heavy to heavy constructional timbersdensity range is from about 720 to 880 kg/m3 air dry (or at 15%moisture content). Most timbers under this specifications areactually heavy and strong to be considered as Heavy Hardwoods,but they became less sufficient natural durability when exposedto the weather or in contact with the ground and treatment withpreservatives is necessary before use.
HeavyHardwood: Heavy to very heavy constructional timbers, the densityrange is from 800 to 1,120 kg/m3 air dry (or at 15% moisturecontent). They are considered very durable therefore can besafely used without preservative treatment. However, the sapwoodof these timbers is not durable.

Density:880-1,155 kg/m3 air dry.
Color/Appearance:Heartwood is red-brown or claret red in colour and isattractively streaked with lighter coloured layers and having asmall brown-black corewood.
