"Toyo Dry" is a material that protects structural materials under the floor of a wooden house from moisture. If the humidity under the floor is high, rot fungi may be generated and the wooden structural material may be rotten.
"Toyo Dry" absorbs excess moisture when the humidity is high and releases moisture when the humidity falls, thereby controlling the humidity under the floor to reduce the occurrence of rot bacteria and increase the durability of the structural material under the floor. Spreading under the floor also helps to cut off the cool air coming from the ground, which has the effect of reducing indoor heating and cooling costs.
The material of “Toyo Dry” is 100% crushed Wakkanai diatom shale. It is a granular material of about 1-20 mm, laid 2-3 cm thick on moisture-proof concrete or moisture-proof vinyl sheet under the floor. Once laid, no maintenance is required. Unless you are flooded, your breathing ability lasts forever.
