- Fresh, tender, free from insects.Bunches should have fresh, crisp, green tops.

- Shall have green and tender leaves, which shall be free from discoloration and any type of damage.

- Additional quality indices are stalk and midrib length, free from defects such as blackheart, pithy petioles, cracks or splits, and free from insect damage and decay.
