Wood pellets are made from wood or wood processing waste such as twigs, leaf litter, sawdust and bark. With adhesives and a pressing process using high pressure, wood pellets with a diameter of 6-8 mm and a length of 60-80 mm will be produced, with an average density of 650 kg/m3 or 1.5 m3/ton. Currently, plants that are often used as wood pellets come from fast growing plants such as Sengon (Falcataria mollucana) and Kaliandra (Caliandra calotyrsus).
